The programme at Navan had a lopsided look with six of the eight races run at five furlongs or an extended variation, but who better to take advantage than sprint king Eddie Lynam?
He bagged a double, starting with a satisfying win for Dapper Power, a close relative of Slade Power and running in the same colours.
The imposing son of Dandy Man landed the 5½f maiden under Wayne Lordan in better style than the neck margin over Peshkova might suggest as he appeared to be doing only just enough.
