Naggers is set to chase some rich pickings across the Irish Sea next year after continuing his climb up the rankings with a last-gasp victory.

The five-year-old was the subject of hefty support and got up on the line to pip the gallant Tiger Jim by a nose in the Class 4 6f handicap.

The 7-2 favourite, ridden by Robert Winston, had performed with credit when beaten just over two lengths in a valuable event at the Curragh on his previous outing.
