Muffri'Ha off to stud after bowing out on top despite her wayward tendencies

Muffri’Ha did not want to go to the start but she had no problem coming back and repeated last year’s success in the Listed Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes under James Doyle.

Spirited at home and on the track, Muffri’Ha put the brakes on more than once before the race and had to be led to post, but once the gates opened she went full throttle and ultimately had an extra gear to her rivals.

“We’ve ponied her to start the last couple of times, which worked well, but we thought she’d be okay here today,” said assistant trainer Maureen Haggas. “She got as far away as she could and then stood and waited for us to come and get her!
