Mud-loving Baywing sweeps to success for jubilant Richards

There was a shock in the feature Towton Novices' Chase, won last year by subsequent RSA winner Blaklion, when 33-1 chance Baywing swept to a 22-length victory over Calett Mad.
Luck? Trainer Nicky Richards did not think so, but it would certainly be an overdue slice.
"He's been the unluckiest horse," said Richards. "He was meant to go to the Derby sales, but got his leg stuck in a head collar so he didn't go. Then we got him and he got tangled in a gate twice."
