Willie Mullins' nine-horse assault on the Daragh Fitzpatrick & Colm White Local Bookmakers Naas November Handicap was foiled by the Tony Martin-trained Mr Everest, who landed the last big handicap of the Irish season under John Egan.

Mr Everest was first reserve for the €100,000 contest but got into the race when two horses, including his stablemate Golden Spear, who had won over hurdles at Down Royal on Saturday, were withdrawn.

The John Breslin-owned five-year-old scored by one-and-a-half lengths from Exchange Rate, who fared best of the Mullins army.
