Move north works wonders as Two B Tanned brings up 12-1 double for Julie Camacho

Two B Tanned romped to a second victory in a little over a week for trainer Julie Camacho to put the seal on a burgeoning new partnership, which was sparked by a phone call out of the blue during the depths of winter.
The filly, owned by Ricardo Napolitano, broke her maiden over the same course and distance last Wednesday under Joe Fanning, and she was even better here as she stretched away to record a five-and-a-half length success in the 1m½f handicap.
The wins came after Two B Tanned had failed to sparkle when trained in Newmarket by George Scott, but Steve Brown, Camacho’s husband and assistant, said it was her former trainer’s inspiration that had led her to their door.
“I’m delighted for her owner, who is new to the yard, and that is because George very kindly recommended us to him,” said Brown. “He rang up out of the blue and said that this filly hadn’t had the breaks with him, but that the owner should keep her and send her north to us.
“She arrived in February and we’ve been learning more about her. She has a high cruising speed and Joe is very good from the front. I’m not sure we’ll be so far in front of the handicapper in the future, but we’ve had a great few days with her.”
Two B Tanned's win brought up a 12-1 double for Camacho after Brummell's victory in the 5f handicap.
Ryan doubles up as well
Kevin Ryan was another trainer to notch a double on the card, striking with Tropical Dreamer in the 5f juvenile novice and Bowen Island in the 7½f handicap. Both horses were partnered by Tom Eaves and scored at combined odds of 22-1.
