Morris on mark with Palisade before enforced break

Luke Morris will sit out the next five days through suspension but he signed off with a winner aboard the progressive Palisade in the 1m2f handicap.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained three-year-old defied a 6lb penalty for last week’s victory at Sandown to extend his run to three wins and three seconds in his last six starts.

Owners Cheveley Park Stud had Palisade in the Tattersalls July Sales and although he went unsold, it may not be long before interest is stirred, possibly from within the jumps fraternity.
