More juvenile joy for Johnson Houghton as Percy's Lad seals free Derby entry

Eve Johnson Houghton thought she had a strong bunch of two-year-olds for this season and has in no way been disappointed after smart prospect Percy’s Lad took his record to two from two in the 1m½f Derby "Wild Card" Conditions Stakes.
The JD Partnership-owned juvenile backed up his Salisbury debut success with a cosy three-quarters-of-a-length victory under Charlie Bishop in the four-runner event.
Percy's Lad’s triumph, which earned him a free entry to the 2021 Derby, took Johnson Houghton’s two-year-old strike-rate this season to 24 per cent with 13 winners and 18 other first-four finishers from 55 runners, posting a £1 level-stake profit of +£20.88.
