Quest For More and George Baker catch Vazirabad in the final strides of the Prix du CadranCredit: Edward Whitaker
In the Doncaster Cup, on the eve of the St Leger, Quest For More and George Baker led everywhere but on the line. Since then the rider's fortunes have turned considerably for the better and yesterday, reunited with his marathon man, he grabbed Group 1 glory in the winning post's shadow.
A famous Classic success for Baker aboard Harbour Law was followed a week later by another big-race win on high-class sprinter Cotai Glory, his mount in this afternoon's Prix de l'Abbaye.
