More glory for in-form Groucott as 'enthusiastic' Shininstar prevails

Local trainer John Groucott began the day sharing a strike-rate with Nicky Henderson and Paul Cole, and his good run continued when Shininstar won the novice handicap chase.

Belinda Clarke had double reason to smile as she owns the nine-year-old and is assistant to Groucott, who was at Haydock.

Checking out the Racing Post's Signposts page, which showed her boss matching champion jumps trainer Henderson and Classic hero Cole on 40 per cent in the last two weeks, Clarke said: "The horses are really well and it's all worked very well for us this year. We've had no stops.
