Jack Mitchell sparked back to winning form at Lingfield as he guided the smartly bred Undertake to a debut win in the opening Betway-sponsored fillies' novice stakes.

Cheveley Park's daughter of Kodiac raced prominently and showed a smart turn of foot to deny Caroline Dale, who ran a mighty race in the Kachy colours which had dazzled here last year.

Mitchell was unsure if a Royal Ascot bid was on the cards but was delighted by the performance of the Roger Varian-trained filly.
