A group of keen jumping owners switched their attentions to the Flat for the first time and enjoyed immediate success as Miss Goldsmith landed a gamble in the first division of the seven furlong handicap.

Backed into 16-1 from an early morning 25-1, the filly lost her maiden tag at the 18th attempt as she landed the spoils under PJ McDonald.

Miss Goldsmith, previously trained by Richard Fahey and for her last race by Lucinda Egerton, joined Rebecca Menzies shortly after her last outing.
