Frankie Dettori is riding like a man possessed and Mick Kinane knows exactly why.

Ten years ago Kinane had just turned 50 and won the Eclipse for the fourth time aboard the exceptional Sea The Stars. He found that one horse transformed his confidence and recognises a similar story with the bubbling Dettori.

Dettori, 48, topped the table at Royal Ascot for the first time in 15 years last month. On Saturday, Enable gave him his second of three winners on the day, a sixth Group 1 win since the start of the season and a sixth of seven wins from his last 11 rides. Dettori is not just hot, he is molten.
