It was a day to remember for owners Philip and Katherine Malcolm after Moayadd, the first horse they have had in training, gave them their first winner when landing the second division of the 1m2f apprentice handicap.

A first runner on the all-weather here for trainer Neil Mulholland, Moayadd looked to have plenty to do when five lengths down early in the straight, but Hollie Doyle brought him with a well-timed challenge before going on to win by four lengths.
