Mange Tout the new Triumph Hurdle favourite after beating Willie Mullins youngster at Fairyhouse

It was a phenomenal day for Cullentra as Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy combined to land all four Graded races on the card.

The winning sequence was kicked off by Mange Tout, who extended her unbeaten record to three in the Grade 3 Bar 1 Betting Juvenile Hurdle with an authoritative two-and-three-quarter-length success over favourite Narciso Has.

Having landed a hurdle race at Compiegne in May, the filly scored on her stable debut at Down Royal despite tearing off in the lead and racing inefficiently.

With the hood back on, the 11-8 shot settled beautifully in third for Kennedy and came with a blistering run approaching the last to overhaul Narciso Has. The performance saw Mange Tout shoot to 8-1 favourite (from 16) for the JCB Triumph Hurdle with Paddy Power.

Elliott said: "I said to Jack that she didn't jump great, but he said when he pulled her out and gave her a bit of room, she was very good at the last two and that's what you want.

"Jack said she winged the second-last and quickened, and quickened again at the last. She put lengths between them very quickly from the last to the line.

"What she was doing at home before she ran at Down Royal was what I saw there. I didn't see it at Down Royal but she was very keen and did everything wrong. She settled better today. She seems nice and I'd imagine we'll see her at Leopardstown over Christmas."

The day got even better an hour later when the Gigginstown-owned Koktail Brut showed admirable resolution to repel a fast-finishing Blake in the Grade 2 Bar 1 Betting Royal Bond Novice Hurdle, sticking his neck out at the right time to prevail by a head as 8-13 favourite.

The five-year-old ran well in bumpers last season but has taken his form to a new level over hurdles, jumping well in the lead for Kennedy before repelling the challenge of the Noel Meade-trained runner-up.

"He did everything wrong probably as Jack said he was keen enough in front," said Elliott. "We weren't sure if there was going to be pace in the race, so we said we'd keep it simple and go on.

"He was very gutsy to come back. Looking at that, I'd say a bit further would suit him. I'll talk to Michael and Eddie [O'Leary] and see, but we won't just say he definitely wants two and a half miles yet. He could be one to keep and go to the Lawlor's of Naas."

Better Times triumphs

Mark Walsh was seen to sensational effect on 3-1 favourite Better Times Ahead as the pair nutted Will Do close home to land the Listed Porterstown Handicap Chase.

The winner was at least ten lengths in arrears, with the runner-up still travelling strongly in the lead, after jumping two out, but Walsh galvanised his mount to get up in the nick of time by a neck.

The success continued the excellent form of trainer Robert Tyner as he claimed his eighth win from 20 runners since September.

Zillow scoots clear

Willie Mullins got on the scoreboard in the Listed handicap hurdle when 7-2 joint-favourite Zillow gave Breeders' Cup Turf-winning owners the HOS Syndicate another big winner.

Ataboycharlie's fall at the last when in a clear lead made the task more straightforward, but Paul Townend was building up a head of steam at the time and duly ran out a commanding four-and-a-quarter-length winner.
