Main Fact makes it eight in a row with a return to hurdles on the cards next

The David Pipe-trained Main Fact continued his fruitful autumn Flat campaign when sealing a remarkable eight-timer in the 2m handicap and saw his odds for the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham cut to 9-1 (from 12) by bet365.

The first five of Main Fact’s winning streak came over hurdles at the start of the year, raising his mark from 98 at the beginning of the season to 147 in his first campaign for Pipe after transferring from Dianne Sayer.

However, from a more-than-workable mark of 60, Pipe set the seven-year-old back out on the Flat where he has bolted up on all three starts before an expected return to hurdling next weekend.
