Lil Rockerfeller may have booked a late trip to the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival after getting his chasing career back on track in the novice chase.

He could now be set for a quick return in Saturday's Grade 2 Ladbrokes John Francome Novices' Chase at Newbury following a smooth victory at 4-11.

There were none of the jumping errors that characterised the high-class hurdler's win at Cheltenham last month as he took the 3m event under Wayne Hutchinson.
