Let us in! Leicester to act on ticket numbers after owners express frustration

Leicester promised to listen to concerns raised by syndicates over the number of tickets offered to owners with runners at the course following frustration expressed by connections on Friday.

Sam Hoskins, syndicate manager for Hot To Trot Racing, was exasperated after being able to secure only the standard offering of six owners' tickets despite 15 syndicate members wanting to come and watch Early Learner in the 2m4½f maiden hurdle.

He said: "To be fair to Leicester it's a great little course and they put on good prize-money. It's a place we're keen to support, but, as per Lee Mottershead's article recently, these tracks need to be a bit more aware of the landscape with syndicates – very few have just six people in them.
