Racegoers who left before the bumper missed a treat as King Roland displayed potential star quality in scoring on his debut for trainer Harry Fry and jockey Noel Fehily.

The point-to-point winner travelled ominously well throughout the contest to win as he liked in the colours of the Masterson family.

"He's a lovely horse who was impressive in his point-to-point and Harry has loved him since the day he got him," said Fehily.
