King returns to Shropshire course and bags three-timer

For a number of years Alan King was anything but a regular visitor to this Shropshire track, but in recent seasons he has relented and he went home this time with a treble following victories for Label Des Obeaux, Tara View and Master Blueyes.

Explaining his absence from having runners, King said: “I had a bit of an issue with the mats on the road crossings at the course, but the designs have been changed and I don't really have a problem with the place at all.

“In fact, they should be supported and I've done that this afternoon as I have brought a number of good-class horses here. They have all run their races and the winners might well go on to better things.”
