The well-bred Khamaary upheld a family tradition when making a winning start to her career in the 6f maiden under Paul Hanagan.

A daughter of Tamayuz, she is a half-sister to five winners, most notably Awzaan, who won the Middle Park and Mill Reef Stakes in 2009. Like him she is owned and bred by Hamdan Al Maktoum and trained by Mark Johnston.

She had plenty to live up to, but sent off a 3-1 chance she didn't disappoint for despite running green and edging left towards the far-side rails she ran on in good style to get the better of the more-exposed Bithynia by a neck, the pair drawing three lengths clear of the remainder.
