Gay Kelleway avoided all the weekend flu restrictions in Newmarket and it certainly showed when her Purple Rock swept to victory in the 1m4f handicap.

The 3-1 winner was ridden to a convincing front-running success by Daniel Muscutt and is owned by Kelleway's popular syndicate the Strictly Fun Racing Club.

In contrast to Robert Eddery, trainer of runner-up Country'N'Western, Kelleway has not had to spend any time off Newmarket Heath whilst the six-day racing ban was in force.
