Joy for Owners Group as Miranda is cheered home in feature

For the first time in months, a British racecourse was lit up by the roars of a big syndicate winner as a brave performance from feature-race winner Miranda inspired a jubilant atmosphere.

Around 650 racing fans were in attendance at the Shropshire track, and many of those could be heard cheering through branded Owners Group masks as the Paul Nicholls-trained Miranda recorded a half-a-length success in the two-mile mares' handicap hurdle.

It was a game performance from a mare making it four from seven over hurdles, travelling strongly up the straight and fending off the challenge of Miss Heritage in a dash for home.
