Johnson lands Southwell treble before abandonment due to heat

Champion jockey Richard Johnson continued his red-hot form with a treble at Southwell, meaning he has won on his last five completed mounts and nine of his last 12 in total.
Course-and-distance winner Mr Mafia landed the first winning blow when making light work of both a penalty and the heat in the 3m handicap chase.
The Martin Keighley-trained ten-year-old was a wide-margin winner at the track last week and produced several accurate leaps on his way to a dominant nine-length victory.
