'It's a lucky race for me!' – Brooke celebrations after Get On The Yager victory

Sometimes the work a jockey puts in before a race can be just as important as during it.

That was certainly the case for Henry Brooke, who talked his way on to Get On The Yager and then registered back-to-back victories in the 188Bet Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase with a never-say-die performance.

It was his first ride for winning trainer Dan Skelton as he followed up last year's Wetherby success aboard Definitly Red when coming out on the right side of a thrilling four-way finish.
