Fresh from his first winner in Ireland, Billy Loughnane extended his lead in the jockeys' championship when steering Queen Of Scotland to success in the 1m3½f fillies' maiden.
The rider brought up his 126th winner since the championship began – and 190th of 2026 – on board the George Boughey-trained three-year-old, who went one better than her debut second at Goodwood by beating Marquetry by four and a half lengths.
Loughnane, who landed the Group 1 Flying Five Stakes on Comanche Brave at the Curragh on Sunday, moved 15 clear of nearest rival Oisin Murphy with his latest triumph.
Despite holding a healthy advantage, Loughnane does not believe the title race is over.
"It's not done yet," he said. "There are still four and a bit weeks left, so I'll keep pushing through. I'm fortunate enough that I'm riding for big stables who thankfully keep the winners coming, and it was good to get a winner on her."
The daughter of Pinatubo showed a strong turn of foot to get off the mark, and speaking to Sky Sports Racing, Loughnane added: "She's learning on the game. When I first hit the front, she had a bit of a look around, but when I gave her a flick or two she stretched away, and I really liked her work through the line."
Marco Magic
Marco Ghiani's fine season continued when he partnered the Roger Teal-trained Distant Rumble to win the 6f handicap.
It was Ghiani's 18th winner in the past fortnight and his 91st of the campaign.
