Harry Bentley's punch of the air as he crossed the July course winning line in splendid isolation told you everything you needed to know about what the moment meant to the young rider.

It is easy to forget that Bentley is only 24, such are the trials and tribulations visited upon him already in his career.

While he has enjoyed fabulous winter success in the Middle East, he has struggled to make his presence truly felt in Britain. As such, the beaming smile that followed this maiden Group 1 success was as heartfelt as any you will see on a racecourse this year.
