Hornby rides out claim with staying success for Balding

As a graduate of the famed Kingsclere academy, Rob Hornby has had the best possible education and it will now be put to the test after the jockey rode out his claim on 2m½f handicap winner Haines.

Hornby has followed the likes of William Buick, Oisin Murphy and David Probert through the apprentice ranks at Andrew Balding's historic stable and it was fitting the landmark 95th victory came for the trainer.

"It's nice to do it for the boss as he has given me great support, which will hopefully continue," said the jockey.
