Jason Hart dominates as Manigordo claims back-to-back triumphs at Musselburgh
Wednesday: Musselburgh
Jason Hart completed a treble in style with success in the feature 7f handicap on Manigordo.
The five-year-old gelding comfortably completed back-to-back victories at the course this month for Tim Easterby, who enjoyed a double on the day.
Hart opened his account with success on Leading Company, who completed a hat-trick for trainer John Quinn in the mile nursery.
The 27-year-old rider was quick to follow up in the 5f handicap with the Easterby-trained Canaria Prince before landing the feature.
Hart, who recorded a career-best 105 winners last season, was unable to complete a perfect four-timer when his final ride Ruby Port finished seventh.
Haggas dominant
William Haggas was enjoying bigger riches at York with Baaeed but had another northern success at a much lower level with Good Measure, who broke his maiden under Paul Mulrennan.
The three-year-old gelding got off the mark on the fifth attempt for owner-breeders Roy and Gretchen Jackson of Lael Stables, who also bred multiple Group 1 winner George Washington.
Alongside Hart, Mulrennan dominated proceedings at the track, completing a double on Sophiesticate for Jim Goldie in the 1m4½f handicap.
Tuer triumph
A step up in trip proved key for the Grant Tuer-trained Bicep, who relished seven furlongs to record a first win since his debut last year.
The three-year-old broke a winless run of 13 races when pulling clear to strike by a length and three-quarters in his first triumph since joining Tuer's yard for this season.
