Olly Murphy's It’s O Kay gives Posh Trish form a further boost

After an unusually dry November officials elected for an all-hurdles card with the firm ground on the chase course earlier in the week deemed unsafe.

The fast going might have deterred many trainers from risking their horses but there was one promising type on show in the form of the Olly Murphy-trained It’s O Kay – a half-sister to the useful Philip Hobbs-trained Copper Kay – who secured a decisive four-and-a-half-length victory in the 1m7½f mares’ maiden hurdle.

It’s O Kay took a healthy step forward from her hurdling debut at Newbury last month where she was never able land a blow behind Lust For Glory and Posh Trish, the form of which was rubber-stamped by that pair fighting out a Listed mares’ novice on Saturday.
