Tuesday: Musselburgh

Gemma Tutty is keeping level-headed despite securing another winner in her maiden season as Fomo landed the 7f fillies' stakes.

The North Yorkshire trainer, who took over the licence at Trenholme House Farm from her mother Karen earlier this year, has recorded 11 winners from 63 runners and is currently operating at a 17 per cent strike-rate.

"It's not the time to get complacent, but I can’t really complain with how things are going," said former jockey Tutty.

"It has been really nice with how supportive owners, both past and present, have been and hopefully they can keep putting their faith in me."

Fomo’s three-length success provided Tutty with her first two-year-old winner, after coming close with Cuban Rock at the track last month.

"Cuban Rock was only beaten a neck here, but nobody remembers the seconds, do they," added Tutty.

"I bought her [Fomo] myself in Ireland towards the end of last year so it’s a nice boost with the yearling sales just around the corner."

Patience pays off

Connections of Bobby Shaftoe were finally rewarded as the Jim Goldie-trained four-year-old got off the mark on his 16th attempt when justifying favouritism under Paul Mulrennan in the 7f classified stakes, finishing half a length clear of Palazzo.

The pair completed a double when Primo's Comet recorded a sixth course-and-distance victory in the penultimate race.

Watson stars

Jason Watson's trip to Musselburgh for one ride turned out to be worthwhile as Star Of Lady M struck for a fourth time in six starts in the 5f nursery handicap.
