It's Dee time as Rooneys fly in to see him score in style

It was obviously a tip in itself as owners Paul and Clare Rooney helicoptered in to the Shropshire circuit just in time to see Master Dee carry their dark blue and yellow silks to success in the 2m4f novice handicap chase.

Just minutes before the Fergal O’Brien-trained seven-year-old had got the better of a duel with Pull The Chord, the Rooneys had initiated an across-the-card double when Stanley obliged on the Flat at Nottingham.

Rooney said: “We visited Fergal’s yard this morning and I saw Master Dee - he was so chilled out I didn't think he could come here and win. But he has done the business in style, and the hard way, from the front.”
