Seahouses recorded an impressive victory in the 2m7f handicap hurdle for trainer Barry Brennan to maintain Isabelle Ryder's strong form in the saddle.

Owned by David Gibbons, the five-year-old built on his third at the track last month, taking an early lead and dominating from three out to win by six and a half lengths. It was a second win for Seahouses, who scored at the course in February.

Ryder told Racing TV: "It was brilliant, that feeling never gets old. He was fantastic the way he quickened up turning in, you couldn't catch him.

"I thought the race would play to our strengths as he's won round here before by making all. He loves being out in front like that."

The conditional jockey operated at a 37 per cent strike-rate in October, with seven successes from 19 mounts, and has now ridden 15 winners.

She said: "It's been a brilliant start to the winter. I've been with Jamie Snowden since the start of May, which has been fantastic, and he's given me lots of opportunities, the same as Barry, who's put me on plenty."

On a roll

Pescatorius made it back-to-back wins after dominating the 2m5½f handicap chase.

The six-year-old was last seen scoring over 3m2½f at Sedgefield, but the drop in trip was no trouble as he followed that up under Sean Bowen with a 14-length victory for trainer Olly Murphy.

Good day's work

Sam Twiston-Davies secured a double with wins on two short-priced favourites.

Moon Over America made a perfect start over hurdles, winning by half a length in the 2m4½f maiden hurdle for Nigel and Willy Twiston-Davies, before Nazare asserted after the last flight to win the 2m4½f handicap hurdle for trainer James Owen.
