In-form Paul Townend not taking it easy as he lands Listowel double
Few could have blamed Paul Townend for putting his feet up after seeing off Rachael Blackmore to claim his second jump jockeys' championship but Willie Mullins' number one seems intent on putting a third title to bed as quickly as possible.
A double in the first two races at Listowel courtesy of odds-on shots Scaglietti and Fast Buck brought his tally to 12 in the last seven days and 20 since the season started.
"Since Punchestown we haven't really got a break yet, so it's great Willie has got a few summer horses to keep the ball rolling. I'm picking up good spares as well, which always helps," Townend said.
