James Doyle has enjoyed his most successful season and it has clearly left his services in high demand, which showed when he scooped wins for three different trainers.

Trainers are often creatures of habit and Simon Crisford and Andrew Balding have previous in the three maidens that opened the card.

Both were in on the act again, as Doyle swept through from off the pace on Crisford's Mannaal to pull clear of Lady Lizzy in division one of the 1m½f fillies' maiden.
