Impressive Felix proves top cat to make it two out of two over fences in Grade 2
Felix Desjy's blemish-free record over fences continued on Saturday when he landed a competitive Grade 2 Mongey Communications Novice Chase and, if ever a horse has been transformed by jumping fences, he looks to be it.
A trailblazing tearaway in his younger days, he settled like a lamb here for Jack Kennedy, and was even happy enough to take a lead when runner-up Sizing Pottsie, ridden by Kennedy's brother Paddy, went on before the third-last and looked for a few moments to have nicked it.
The winner gradually reeled him in, though, and just had to be pushed out on the run-in to win by a length and three-quarters, and saw his price for the Arkle Chase cut to 16-1 (from 20-1) by Paddy Power.
