Long before Old Park Star had made it back to the winner's enclosure, a man wearing a garish suit, sunglasses and an enormous smile walked past the Trackside View bar, talking on his phone and repeatedly punching the air.

"Come on!" he shouted, seemingly keen to be heard by the largest possible audience. "Five G's baby! We're off to a flyer."

For Willie Mullins, that was very much not the case. Normal service was soon resumed.
