'Hopefully there's another thousand under the bonnet somewhere!' - Hollie Doyle rides her 1,000th domestic winner

Hollie Doyle celebrated a landmark success when Handle With Care became her 1,000th winner in Britain in the opening 6f fillies' handicap.
Doyle rode her first winner on The Mongoose for David Evans at Salisbury in 2013 and in 2019 set a new record for winners ridden by a female rider in a calendar year with 116 victories.
She rode a career-best 172 winners in 2021 and reached 1,000 winners worldwide at Goodwood in September.
Doyle, whose Group 1 winners have included Trueshan, Bradsell and Nashwa, said: "I'm delighted to reach this milestone. Hopefully there's another thousand under the bonnet somewhere!
"I've had so much support over the years and so many people have been loyal to me, especially Archie [Watson] as since I joined him my career has really taken off."
It was a first victory for the Marco Botti-trained Handle With Care. Paul Hunt's homebred stayed on well on her second start in a handicap to score by a length and a half.
Doyle said on Sky Sports Racing: "Marco has been a big supporter of mine for a long time, so it's quite fitting. She was a bit sluggish at the start last time but she was much sharper today and should stay seven furlongs."
Nice prospect
Acomb sixth Diablo Rojo took his record to 2-3 for Raphael Freire in the 6f novice. The Amo Racing colt denied Hello Zaman by a head under David Egan.
Double delight
Terry Kent and apprentice Brandon Wilkie enjoyed a 54-1 double with 1m2f handicap winner Obsidian Knight and mile handicap scorer Mister Mojito.
