'His horses are on fire' - Galilean Quality shines as Karl Burke sends out another impressive juvenile winner

Galilean Quality enhanced Karl Burke's terrific record with juveniles this year when coming out on top in the feature £40,000 1m2f novice contest.
The son of Teofilo was beaten on his first two starts, but got off the mark at the third attempt with a three-quarter-length triumph under Clifford Lee.
Galilean Quality took Burke's two-year-old record in 2025 to 56 winners. The Middleham trainer is also operating at a +£39.10 profit to a £1 level-stake bet with his juveniles this year.
Lee told Racing TV: “He’s been very coltish. He was in the preliminaries today and at the start, I had to keep him away from the other horses. He has definitely got better with each run, and the step up in trip has definitely helped.”
The win was a ninth success in the last fortnight for Lee. He is operating at a 30 per cent strike-rate in that period, with big victories in the Cambridgeshire and the Cumberland Lodge Stakes.
He added: “I had a great weekend, I’m very happy. Karl’s definitely the man to be riding for and his horses are on fire. Touch wood, we’ve got a few more nice ones to come.”
Treble for Tudhope
Victories in the first and last races bookended a treble for Danny Tudhope. The George Boughey-trained Calafiori got him off to a flyer when landing the opening 6f nursery before the Hamad Al Jehani-trained Fine Interview narrowly prevailed in the 6f handicap. The rider completed a memorable afternoon when steering the Harriet Bethell-trained City Captain home for a comfortable success in the concluding 6f handicap.
