'He's loving the game' - Hitman Fred continues prolific summer at Perth

Rose Dobbin continued her excellent start to the campaign as Hitman Fred took the 3m handicap chase to win for the third time in as many starts at Perth this season.
A nine-race maiden over hurdles, the eight-year-old is relishing a late switch to chasing with this his fourth win in seven starts over the larger obstacles.
Dobbin was delighted to see her only horse in training for the summer win again. She said: "I was probably far too slow to switch him to chasing and obviously this is what he was made for.
"He’s just absolutely loving the game. He’s a joy to train, when I was riding I wouldn’t have minded riding one like him.
"When we first ran him he was just beaten in a bumper at Kelso and we thought we had a proper horse. He’s making up for lost time now.
"It’s great as we haven’t really had many horses in this summer so it’s just good to have one like him producing the goods."
Dobbin, who operating at a 38 per cent strike-rate for the season, added: "For us to have had six winners is a good summer so I'm absolutely chuffed!"
Welcome winner for McCain
