The tricky but talented El Rojo Grande registered his fourth win of 2026 with a gutsy display in the 2m4f novice handicap chase.
A number of work-riders, including trainer Katy Price herself, have been unseated from the nine-year-old at home and Shane Quinlan was the latest to take a tumble when exiting on the way to the start.
He needed some help to remount the huge gelding, who produced a stellar performance to gamely hold off Full Force Gale by a length and a half.
This added to wins at Market Rasen, Ffos Las and Lingfield and Price told Racing TV: "If you saw him in the paddock he would've looked as fat as a pudding and when you see what he eats it puts you off eating porridge, but he's a big horse and that's how he wins his races.
"He's like a carthorse and Shane fell off him on the way to the start, but we've all fallen off him at home. It's a long way down!
"It didn't make a difference though. Shane rode him a bit more aggressively, I thought, and it worked well. That put the horses making their first start in a chase under pressure whereas he's had plenty of experience."
Major shock
The Sarah Hollinshead-trained La Vish upset the two Nigel and Willy Twiston-Davies runners at 20-1 in the 2m5f novice hurdle.
Big Ticket was a major disappointment when beaten at 1-7, as La Vish stormed clear of Bobbarelli.
