Trainer Anthony Honeyball is convinced World Of Dreams, who scored on his hurdling debut in the 2m1½f maiden, will improve plenty from his seasonal debut and can go on to bigger things.

The 4-6 favourite was impressive under conditional jockey Rex Dingle and pulled clear of the Milton Harris-trained Bari Breeze by three and a quarter lengths, despite signs of greenness and inexperience.

"I was pleased with 90 per cent of it," said Honeyball. "His jumping warmed to the task after the first four hurdles, then he was economical and efficient – he's got an engine."

World Of Dreamas was talented enough to finish fifth in the Grade 2 bumper at the Grand National meeting last season and his trainer added: "He started running around towards the end, he found it a bit daunting and just backed off.

"Rex did point out it's the first time he's been on a racecourse with actual crowds and noise, last season there was never anyone there – he got a bit starstruck."

As to targets, Honeyball said: "I don't know what his Gold Cup could be this season, I suspect we'll try and win a novice with a penalty and then maybe when the mud is flying we might just see more class and acceleration. If he could win that then we ought to be having higher aspirations."

Moore lands double and seven-day suspension

Jockey Jamie Moore endured a bittersweet day as he was handed a seven-day ban for overuse of the whip when guiding the Chris Gordon trained-Shut The Box to victory in the 2m2f handicap chase.

The jockey doubled up 30 minutes later for father Gary when 8-11 favourite Imphal narrowly denied Lelantos by a neck in the 3m2f handicap hurdle.
