Waikiki Waves may have beaten only one horse, but the Heart Of The South syndicate couldn't have been happier to see their six-year-old complete a hat-trick over fences in the 2m3½f handicap chase.

Victory for the Gary Moore-trained runner was expected given he was sent off 1-20 in a match with Rendezvous Peak, and he stamped his authority on his sole rival for a comfortable 29-length win.

Another run before a break is not ruled out, and the progressive chaser has his syndicate, who are based in nearby East Sussex, excited for next year.
