Heart Of Soul holds off rivals to claim staying feature for owner Marwan Koukash

After hinting at a return to form when second at Doncaster last time, Heart Of Soul stepped forward once again to take the feature 1m5f Visit racingtv.com handicap under PJ McDonald.

Carrying the grey silks of Marwan Koukash, the five-year-old was held up in the early stages but soon made headway to cover the move by pace-setting Multellie and the Brian Ellison-trained Snookered.

He looked flat-footed at a crucial stage but stayed on powerfully to land the prize. McDonald said: "He's consistent but he's not the most straightforward horse. He likes cover and things have to fall right for him.
