'He might be the type for the Lanzarote Hurdle' - Idy Wood wins Pertemps qualifier for red-hot Jamie Snowden

Jamie Snowden maintained his sparkling form by landing the two most valuable races on the card, making it ten winners from his last 20 runners.
Both ridden by Gavin Sheehan, the first came in the Pertemps handicap hurdle qualifier over 2m5f, where Idy Wood made it two wins from three starts since his seasonal reappearance in September.
Supreme Yeats set a fast pace, going more than 20 lengths clear before halfway, but Idy Wood went past going over the penultimate hurdle.
“He’s such a reliable, consistent individual,” said Snowden. “He was a very decent novice hurdler and then won a couple of chases, but I think he's appreciated going back over hurdles."
On plans for the season, Snowden added: "I think he might be the type for the Lanzarote Hurdle, but he wouldn't want it [the ground] too deep. He has good Kempton form and seems to like the track.
"It’s a possibility [that he could go to the Pertemps final at Cheltenham], it would also be ground dependent, and we haven't campaigned him over three miles. But there might be a bit of improvement when he does."
She Is For Me Boys then made a successful debut over fences in the 2m4½f mares’ handicap chase.
The lightly raced six-year-old was badly hampered at the first but jumped fluently afterwards and produced her best leap at the final fence to draw clear of last year’s winner Ilovethenightlife.
Snowden said: "She jumps really well and that's what did it for her today. Plenty of mares don't take to chasing, but she certainly has."
