Robert Havlin registered his most important victory since returning to action in October when steering Alwasmiya to a convincing win in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Bosra Sham' Fillies' Stakes.

The feature sprint, named after the 1,000 Guineas winner of 1996, was first programmed in 2003 but locals were at a loss to recall a more impressive winner.

On this evidence it was easy to see why trainer Simon Crisford had given Alwasmiya entries in races like the Cheveley Park, and Paddy Power were impressed enough after this three-length score to give her a quote of 33-1 for next year's Commonwealth Cup.
