Happy Hanagan praises Kimberella after Listed success

Paul Hanagan's fondness for Kimberella increased a notch after the reliable sprinter put the smile back on the former two-time champion jockey's face on what was proving to be a frustrating day.

The Clive Titcomb-owned seven-year-old has become a stable favourite since joining Richard Fahey this year and added to his valuable win on All-Weather finals day in April with a third course victory in the Listed Total Fitness Queensferry Stakes.

"I love him, he's a grand horse with such a wonderful temperament," said Hanagan. "We had a scare early on when the horse on the inside [Cotai Glory] hung right, but I got a breather into him and he kicked off the bend when full of running."
