Bargain buy Linger gained a runaway win in the juvenile hurdle for trainer Shark Hanlon, who is aiming his talented recruit at the JCB Triumph Hurdle.
Despite conceding upwards of 14lb away to some of his 11 rivals, he travelled strongly throughout under seven-pound claimer Liam McKenna, who sent him clear turning for home and cruised home by nine lengths from hurdling newcomer Regal Gait.
