Gutsy Magna Grecia shows potential but Futurity Trophy form is hardly vintage

Magna Grecia won the last domestic juvenile Group 1 of the year at Doncaster, but it was hardly a vintage renewal.

The Vertem Futurity Trophy winner benefited from a strong pace and stayed on in likeable style to post a Racing Post Rating of 114.

It would be harsh to crab the progressive son of Invincible Spirit. He made his racecourse debut only on the last day of September and has now won at the highest level.
