Greatrex makes hay in Wales with 53-1 treble from only three rides

Eddy Greatrex had three rides on the replacement card and won on them all, with popular veteran Captain Lars kicking off a 53-1 treble.

Archie Watson's all-weather stalwart registered his first British turf success – and his 20th victory overall – when justifying strong support in the 5f handicap.

The nine-year-old last scored on grass in South Africa in 2014 but you would not have known it by the way he bounded clear of Awesome Allan.
